Welcome to the Heat Karaoke Amateur Championships – The Finals!
It gets just a little more difficult each round, this isn’t any different.
First thing to note, we have 5 competitors… EACH with the idea they could win. Only 3 of you will make the top 3 and only 1 of you will be 1st place. It is hard to win. It is hard to judge. If you give any judge a hard time, you will not be allowed to enter later competitions. If you create a disturbance, you will not be allowed to do karaoke with me again. Please be adults.
Now the fun part!
Our Finals are on Saturday November 20th at the Southridge Dugout. We will start at 8:30pm that night. We have 3 judges, will will take all 3 scores and add them for your final score. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TALK TO THE JUDGES! They will rank each competitor based on the following scale.
You will sing 2 songs this night! One is chosen by you, one is chosen by the host! The host will notify you of the song he has chosen for you on 11-17 do NOT make suggestions to the host or you will be outed and disqualified.
For each song you will be graded differently.
Please invite your friends, but if you do, please call to reserve a table.
You will sing your song first, and be graded like so:
Are they singing from the stage AND/OR moving amongst the crowd? 0 to 10pts
Image – Dress compared to song choice? 0-10 points
Are they engaging? Fun to watch? Connected to the song? 0 – 10pts
Diction – can we hear the words clearly? 0 – 10pts
Vocal Quality 0 – 10pts
Timing 0-10pts
Song Selection for their voice? 0 – 10pts
You will sing the host selection and be graded as so:
Diction – can we hear the words clearly? 0 – 10pts
Vocal Quality 0 – 10pts
The host selection will be from songs he has heard you sing in the past.

Your song choice must be in by Thursday November 18th at 7pm or be disqualified, NO EXCEPTIONS!

4th and 5th place will get a $20 Dugout gift card from Heat EG as well
All top 5 have been entered into the Heat Karaoke Championships – Season 2 (our all included, invitation only tournament) without a need to tryout. All fees to compete will still be due.
